This milkweed with monarch caterpillar original artwork is archivally matted and framed with plexiglass in a warm, golden-toned wood frame.
It’s always such a thrill to encounter a monarch caterpillar in the wild. I was so pleased when asked to create this painting showing one of them feeding on swamp milkweed for the Smithsonian National Zoological Park’s butterfly garden exhibit.
