matted and framed
colored pencil drawing

This is one of many Great Lakes fishes I’ve drawn, but it’s one of my favorites. I like drawing minnows because most of those I’ve drawn have large enough scales to be relatively easy to count and to draw, and because they tend to have elegantly proportioned features (in my view, anyway). The lake chub is certainly no exception.
