To me, the smooth, shiny skin and interesting forms of heirloom tomatoes make them ideal candidates for colored pencil drawings. It’s fun to use such bright colors, and I love it when these colors show up in the cast shadow. I think that images of fruits and vegetables such as this orange heirloom tomato drawing would make for some great kitchen art.
