This Cambrian trilobite original artwork is archivally matted and framed with regular glass in a reddish wood frame.
I always enjoy reconstructing extinct invertebrates such as this trilobite. It’s fun to imagine what they would have looked like in life, and to use what we know about their fossils and about modern animals living in the same environment to guide my reconstruction. I created this illustration for the book The Atlantic Coast; A Natural History by Harry Thurston.
