Of all the North American frogs, I think tree frogs tend to be the most handsome, and this species is no exception. It lives in the USA in three disjunct populations: the New Jersey Pine Barrens; the Sandhills of North and South Carolina; and southern Alabama/Florida panhandle. I painted this frog for the book The Atlantic Coast; A Natural History by Harry Thurston.
